Overview
The Cytron Advanced Auto'Calibrating Line Sensor (LSA08) is a high-precision infrared (IR) sensor array designed for line detection and tracking in embedded and robotic systems.
Contains 8 IR transmitter'receiver pairs
Designed for accurate line position detection
Includes auto-calibration and multiple output interfaces
It is optimized for high-speed and reliable line-following performance.
Working Principle
Uses infrared reflectance sensing
Each sensor pair:
Emits IR light (via LED)
Detects reflected light (via photodetector)
Surface contrast (light vs dark) changes reflection intensity
Internal processing determines line position and pattern
Bright surface vo less reflection
