Overview

The module is based on the Bosch BME688 environmental sensor IC, a multi-parameter MEMS environmental sensor integrated into a metal probe housing.

Working Principle

Temperature Sensing

  • Uses bandgap temperature sensing

  • Converts temperature changes digital signal

 

Humidity Sensing

  • Uses a capacitive polchanges capacitance

  • Converted to digital RH values

Pressure Sensing

  • Uses a MEMS piezoresistive pressure sensor

  • Measures atmospheric pressure via diaphragm deformation

Gas (Air Quality) Sensing

MOX (Metal-Oxide) Gas Sensor

  • Contains a micro-heated sensing layer

  • Detects gases by measuring resistance changes

Detection Mechanism

  • Heater activates sensing layer

  • VOC gases interact with surface
