How It Works
Water flows through the sensor body.
An internal rotor (turbine) spins with the flow.
A Hall-effect sensor detects rotor rotation.
Each rotation generates pulse squency is proportional to flow rate.
Pin / Wire Configuration
Red VCC (518V)
Black GND
Yellow Pulse Output (Signal)
Output is a digital pulse signal that can be read by a microcontroller.
Output Formula (Typical)
Frequency relation: F = 0.2 Q (Q = flow rate in L/min)
Or: ~12 pulses = 1 liter of water
Applications
Water supply systems
Agricultural irrigation systems
Industrial liquid flow monitoring
Water treatment plants
Smart water management / IoT systems
Important Notes
Only for Clean Liquids: Avoid debris/dirty water (can damage rotor).
Flow Direction Matters: Follow arrow marking for accuracy.
Not for Very Low Flow: Minimum flow required to rotate turbine.
Calibration Needed: For precise measurements in projects.
Use Proper Pipe Size: Designed specifically for DN50 (2 inch pipes).
Summary
Type: Turbine + Hall-effect flow sensor
Pipe Size: 2 inch (DN50)
